This airplane was the first aircraft purchased when the club was founded in 1977. It is powered by a 150 hp Lycoming O320E2D and has a fuel capacity of 43 gallons (38 gal. useable), a typical fuel burn of 7-8 gal/hr, and a useful load of 887 lbs. It is IFR certified and is equipped with a non IFR certified Apollo GX-50 panel-mounted GPS unit.


1977 Cessna 172N - N91QS
This aircaft has been upgraded by Penn Yan Aero to a "Superhawk", which includes a 180 hp Lycoming O360A4M, giving it a 5-10 knot speed advantage and a useful load of 1064 lbs. Fuel capacity is 43 gallons (38 gal. useable), with a typical fuel burn of 10 gal/hr. It is also IFR certified and equipped with a certified IFR Apollo GX-50 panel-mounted GPS unit.
